§ 29542 Annexation Election Ballot Instructions

Key Takeaways

  • •The ballot for this election must include clear instructions, just like regular state or county elections.
  • •The ballot must ask a simple yes or no question about whether a county should join the San Francisco Bay Area Rapid Transit District.
  • •The question must mention the agreement of annexation, including the date and where it is filed.

Example

Imagine your county is voting on whether to join a bigger public transit system, like BART.

The ballot will have a clear question like 'Should our county join the BART system?' with a yes or no option. It will also mention where you can find the full agreement about this decision.
