AI SummaryReview recommended

§ 27013 Transit District Annexation Ballot

Key Takeaways

  • •The ballot for an election about annexation must include clear instructions, just like regular elections.
  • •The ballot must ask a simple yes or no question about whether a specific area should be added to the transit district.
  • •The question must mention the exact date the petition was filed and the date the transit district board made their decision.
  • •The full details of the decision are kept in the transit district office for people to see.

Example

Imagine your neighborhood wants to join a nearby city to get better bus services.

The ballot you vote on will have a clear question like: 'Should our neighborhood join the city's transit system based on the plan made on [date]?' You just vote YES or NO. The full plan is available at the transit office if you want to read it.
