§ 90972 Annexation Ballot Instructions

Key Takeaways

  • •The ballot for this election must include clear instructions, just like in regular elections.
  • •The ballot must ask if a specific area should join the San Diego County Transit District.
  • •The question on the ballot must mention the exact terms and rules from the official plan.
  • •People can vote 'YES' or 'NO' on whether the area should join.

Example

Imagine your neighborhood is voting on whether to join a bigger bus and train system.

The ballot will have a simple question asking if your area should join, with all the rules listed. You just check 'YES' if you want to join or 'NO' if you don’t.
