§ 17369 Annexation Terms Approval

Key Takeaways

  • •The rules start working when both sides agree the way the law says.
  • •The new area and the place adding it must follow the rules once approved.
  • •The rules don’t start until everyone says ‘yes’ the right way.

Example

A small town wants to join a bigger city to get better schools and roads.

The small town and the big city have to vote and agree the way the law says. Once they both say ‘yes,’ the small town has to follow the big city’s rules.
