§ 17362 Annexing Noncontiguous Private Land

• •If you own at least 10 acres of land that's not part of any district and not touching any district, you can join a nearby district.
• •The nearby district must be within 3 miles of your land.
• •You can follow the rules in this law or another law called the District Reorganization Act of 1965 to join the district.
• •If you use this law to join, you only need to follow the rules in this law, not the other one.

You own a big farm that's not part of any city or district, and there's a city about 2 miles away.

You can ask to join that city if your farm is at least 10 acres and not touching any other city or district. You can follow the rules in this law to do it.
