§ 17370 Annexation Resolution Requirements

Key Takeaways

  • •The board of directors must clearly describe the area they want to add to their district.
  • •They must explain the rules and conditions for adding this area.
  • •The board must say they plan to approve this addition if the conditions are met.

Example

A small town wants to add a nearby neighborhood to their school district.

The school board must write down exactly which streets and houses are included in the new area. They also have to say what rules the neighborhood must follow to join, like paying certain fees or agreeing to new school policies.
