§ 26426 Agreement Approval After Protests

Key Takeaways

  • •If no one complains about an agreement, the board can approve it.
  • •If people complain but the board says no to their complaints, the board can still approve the agreement.
  • •The agreement starts working once the city signs it the right way.

Example

A city wants to make a deal with a company to build a new park.

If no one in the city complains about the deal, or if the board says the complaints don’t matter, the board can say yes to the deal. The deal starts when the city signs the papers the right way.
