• •The board can pause the meeting and decide to continue it later without sending new notices, just by writing down when and where they’ll meet next.
• •If no one complains or if the board says the complaints don’t matter, they can vote to add the land (or part of it) to the special district.
• •The board’s decision to add the land is made official with a vote.

A town wants to add a new neighborhood to its special water district so everyone gets the same water service.

The board holds a meeting to talk about it. If no one protests, or if the board decides the protests aren’t valid, they can vote to add the neighborhood to the water district. They don’t need to send new notices if they decide to continue the meeting later—they just write down the new time and place.
