§ 114235 Water Contamination Prevention Rules

Key Takeaways

  • •You must use water tanks, pumps, and hoses in a way that keeps dirty water from mixing back into the clean water supply.
  • •This rule is about stopping germs or chemicals from getting into drinking water.
  • •If you don't follow this, you could make people sick.

Example

You're using a hose to spray pesticides on your garden.

If you leave the hose in the pesticide bucket and the water pressure drops, the dirty pesticide water could get sucked back into the clean water pipes. This law says you have to stop that from happening.
