§ 29585 Crystallized Honey Grading

Key Takeaways

  • •If honey is hard or crystallized, it needs to be melted before checking its quality.
  • •The quality of honey is judged when it's in liquid form, not when it's hard.
  • •This rule helps make sure honey is checked the same way every time.

Example

You buy a jar of honey that looks hard and solid, not liquid.

The person checking the honey must melt it first to see if it's good or bad. They don’t check it while it’s hard.
