§ 2763 Hearing On Exceptions

Key Takeaways

  • •If you disagree with something in court, you have to tell them by filing a notice.
  • •On the day of the hearing, you must show up in person or send a lawyer.
  • •The court will listen to everyone’s disagreements and decide what to do.
  • •The hearing won’t end until all disagreements are solved.

Example

You get a ticket for parking in the wrong spot, but you think the sign was confusing.

You tell the court you disagree by filing a notice. On the hearing day, you go to court (or send a lawyer) to explain why the ticket isn’t fair. The judge will listen to you and the police, then decide if you still have to pay.
