§ 22080 Watermaster Service Definitions

Key Takeaways

  • •A 'conduit' is anything that moves water, like ditches or pipes.
  • •A 'district' is a special area that manages water for farms, but only if it chooses to handle its own water rules instead of the state doing it.

Example

A farm area has a big ditch to move water to crops.

The ditch is called a 'conduit' because it moves water. If the farm area decides to manage its own water rules, it becomes a 'district'.
