§ 1701 Water Use Change Permits

• •You can change where you take water from, where you use it, or why you use it, but only after you've applied for permission.
• •You need to get approval from the board before making any changes.
• •This rule applies to anyone who has applied for, or already has, a permit or license.

A farmer wants to change where they take water from a river for their crops.

The farmer can't just start taking water from a new spot. They have to ask the board for permission first. If the board says yes, then they can make the change.
