§ 10007 Existing Water Applications Valid

This law says that any applications already filed by the state finance or water departments keep their validity and priority even if new rules change.

Key Takeaways

  • •Existing applications stay valid.
  • •They keep the same priority/status.
  • •Only applies to filings by Finance or Water Resources under Part 2 of Division 6.

Example

A city had already applied for a water use permit before a new rule was passed.

Because of this law, the city's permit stays valid and keeps the same priority as it had before the new rule.
