§ 80012 District Consolidation Approval

Key Takeaways

  • •The board must make a clear plan before combining two transit areas.
  • •They have to write down all the details of the plan in a special document.
  • •The plan must be approved before the two areas can join together.

Example

Imagine two small towns want to share their bus services so buses can go between both towns easily.

The leaders of the towns must write down all the rules and details about how this will work. Then, they have to get everyone to agree to the plan before the towns can officially share their bus services.
