§ 622 Carrier Terminal Property Condemnation

Key Takeaways

  • •This law is about companies that move people or things, like buses or boats.
  • •These companies can take private land if they need it to build or keep up their stations or stops.
  • •They can only do this if it's really needed for their work.

Example

A bus company wants to build a new bus stop in a town.

If the bus company needs a piece of land to build this bus stop, they can take that land even if someone else owns it. But they can only do this if it's really needed for their bus stop.
