§ 6203 Franchise Terms And Conditions

Key Takeaways

  • •The government can add extra rules to a franchise agreement if they think it's good for the public.
  • •These extra rules can't go against the main laws already in place.
  • •The rules can be about how the government works or about contracts.

Example

A city gives a company permission to sell food on the street.

The city can add a rule that the company must keep the street clean around their food cart. This rule is okay if it doesn't break any bigger laws and helps the public.
