§ 433 Public Utility Fee Payments

Key Takeaways

  • •Small public utilities (making $750,000 or less per year) pay their fee once a year by January 15.
  • •Bigger public utilities pay their fee four times a year: in July, October, January, and April.
  • •The fee must be paid on time to the commission.

Example

A small local water company makes $700,000 a year.

This company must pay its fee once a year, and it has to do it by January 15. If it makes more than $750,000, it would have to pay every few months instead.
