§ 29660 Special Service District Formation

Key Takeaways

  • •Special service areas can be made inside a district for specific jobs.
  • •These areas can include cities, countryside, or both, even if they're not next to each other.
  • •A city can't be split up when making these areas, but it can be in more than one.

Example

A big area wants to make a special zone just for better trash pickup.

They can group a few towns and some countryside together to make this trash pickup zone, even if the towns aren't right next to each other. But they can't split one town in half to do it.
