§ 26652 Noncontiguous Annexation Transit Requirement

• •A piece of land can't join a district if the district can't provide bus or train service to it.
• •This only applies if the land isn't touching the district's border.
• •The district must already have the ability to offer transit service to the land.

A small town wants to join a nearby city to get better services.

If the town isn't right next to the city and the city doesn't have buses or trains that can reach the town, the town can't join the city.
