§ 115145 License Hearing And Appeals

Key Takeaways

  • •If the government is deciding whether to give, change, or take away a license, they must let anyone affected have a say in a hearing.
  • •If your license might be suspended or taken away, there’s a special process they have to follow.
  • •Any changes to the rules about licenses must follow the normal government steps for making new rules.

Example

A restaurant owner wants to change their food license to sell alcohol.

The government must let the owner and nearby neighbors speak at a hearing before deciding. If they say no, the owner can argue their case.
