Key Takeaways

  • •If you have a water tank or hose that you're not using, you have to cover it up.
  • •You can use a cap with a chain, a quick disconnect, a closed cabinet, a closed tube, or something else that's approved to cover it.
  • •This rule is to keep the water clean and safe.

Example

You have a water hose in your backyard that you use to fill up a pool.

When you're not using the hose, you have to put a cap on it or store it in a closed tube. This keeps dirt and bugs out of the water.
