§ 112375 Food Storage Exemptions

Key Takeaways

  • •This law does not apply to cold storage places like refrigerators or freezers in restaurants, hotels, or stores.
  • •It also does not apply to places like wineries, breweries, or food factories if they only store their own food.
  • •The rule is only for places that store food for other people, not for themselves.

Example

A grocery store has big freezers in the back to keep their ice cream and frozen pizzas cold.

This law does not apply to those freezers because the store only uses them for their own food, not for other people’s stuff.
