§ 1 Code Naming Authority

• •The act only names the set of health and safety rules.
• •It does not add new rules or change existing ones.
• •All future health and safety regulations will be part of the Health and Safety Code.

A state passes many rules about workplace safety, fire prevention, and food handling. Because of this law, all those rules together are called the Health and Safety Code.

When people refer to the Health and Safety Code, they are talking about all those safety rules grouped under that name.
