§ 6810 Navigable River District Formation

This law says how special areas called 'districts' can be created near rivers or channels. These districts can't split up cities or include places that already have their own port rules.

Key Takeaways

  • •Districts can be made near rivers or channels.
  • •Cities can't be split up to form these districts.
  • •Areas with existing port rules can't be included.

Example

A group of towns near a river want to work together to manage the river better.

They can create a special district to handle river-related stuff, but they can't include parts of a city that doesn't want to be split up. Also, if there's already a port district in one of the counties, they can't include that area.
