§ 9765 Statute Preparation And Indexing

Key Takeaways

  • •The people in charge have to make an index and a record of all the laws.
  • •They must send these to the State Printing Office after the lawmakers finish their work.
  • •Each law must show when it was approved and when it starts working.
  • •The cost of making these records comes from the same money used to print the laws.

Example

Imagine your teacher gives you new rules for the classroom at the end of the school year.

Your teacher writes down all the new rules in a notebook, adds the date when each rule was decided, and gives the notebook to the school office. The school pays for the notebook using the same money they use to print all the school rules.
