§ 9037 Special Session Procedures

• •If the Legislature is already in a special meeting on the same day a regular meeting is supposed to start, they can just keep the special meeting going.
• •They can also decide to talk about the regular meeting topics during the special meeting instead of starting a new one.
• •If they do this, the regular meeting won’t happen at all.

Imagine your school has a special club meeting on the same day as a regular class. The teachers can decide to just talk about the class stuff during the club meeting and skip the regular class.

The Legislature can do the same thing—if a special meeting and a regular meeting are on the same day, they can just combine them and skip the regular one.
