§ 68900 Supreme Court Reporter Appointment

Key Takeaways

  • •The Supreme Court picks who writes down and shares their decisions.
  • •The person they pick can be fired anytime by the Supreme Court.
  • •This person has to do whatever extra jobs the Supreme Court tells them to do.

Example

Imagine the Supreme Court is like a school principal.

The principal gets to choose who takes notes in class and tells everyone what the rules are. If the note-taker doesn’t do a good job, the principal can pick someone else. The note-taker also has to do any extra tasks the principal asks, like handing out papers.
