§ 64633 Bond Issuer Liability Limits

Key Takeaways

  • •People who issue bonds for the authority can't be personally blamed or have to pay for them.
  • •The bonds are only the authority's responsibility, not the city, county, or state.
  • •If someone who signed the bonds leaves their job before the bonds are given out, their signature still counts.

Example

A person who works for the authority signs some bonds, then quits their job the next day.

Even though the person quit, their signature on the bonds is still valid. Also, if something goes wrong with the bonds, the person who signed them or the city/state won't have to pay for it—only the authority will.
