§ 50615 District Maintenance Fund Balance

Key Takeaways

  • •If there's leftover money in the special fund after paying for maintenance, it stays in the fund for next time.
  • •If the government doesn't order more maintenance, the leftover money can still be used to take care of the open spaces.
  • •The money stays in the fund until it's all used up.

Example

A neighborhood has a park that gets maintained every year with money collected from residents. This year, they didn't spend all the money they collected.

The leftover money will stay in the park's fund and can be used next year to maintain the park. Even if the government doesn't plan more maintenance, the money can still be used to take care of the park until it's all gone.
