§ 32338 Employee Injury Leave Payments

Key Takeaways

  • •If you get hurt or sick at work and can't go to work, you can still pay into your work fund like you were working.
  • •You have 90 days after you go back to work to make this payment.
  • •If you make the payment, the time you were away sick or hurt counts like you were working.
  • •The board can give you more time to make the payment if needed.

Example

If you break your leg at work and can't work for a month, you can pay what you would have paid into your work fund during that month when you go back to work.

This means even though you were not working for that month, it will count like you were working because you made the payment.
