§ 17251 Registered Reimbursement Warrant Protection

Key Takeaways

  • •If a claim or warrant is canceled or invalidated, it doesn't affect registered reimbursement warrants.
  • •The Controller's certificate about registered reimbursement warrants is final and cannot be questioned by the holder.

Example

A state agency issues a warrant to pay for a project, but later finds out there was a mistake and cancels it.

Even if the original warrant is canceled, any registered reimbursement warrants related to it are still valid. The Controller's decision about these warrants is final.
