§ 16609 State Funds Deposit Rules

Key Takeaways

  • •If you work for the state and handle state money, you must follow the rules for where to put that money.
  • •If you put the money somewhere else, you could lose your job.
  • •This rule is for all state workers, no matter their job title.

Example

A state worker puts tax money into their personal bank account instead of the state's official account.

This is against the rules. The worker could lose their job because they didn't follow the correct way to handle state money.
