§ 13101 Infrastructure Definition

Key Takeaways

  • •Infrastructure means land and things built on it, like roads, buildings, and pipes that carry water.
  • •It includes equipment that is part of these buildings, like lights in a tunnel or pumps in a water system.
  • •It also covers special rights to use land, like paths for power lines or roads.

Example

A new road is built in your town.

The road is infrastructure because it is built on land and helps people move around. The land, the road itself, and even the signs and lights are all part of the infrastructure.
