Key Takeaways

  • •If a state agency wants to build something big (like roads or buildings), they have to explain how it fits with the state's big plans.
  • •The Governor can tell any state group to help make the plan for building stuff.
  • •This rule started in 2003 and had to be followed by 2005.

Example

A state agency wants to build a new highway.

They have to show how this highway helps with the state's big goals, like making travel easier or helping the environment. If they don't explain this, they might not get to build it.
