§ 12808 Fund Transfer Authority

• •If the Human Relations Agency has leftover money, other agencies (Health and Welfare or Resources) can use it.
• •The money can only be used for the same things it was originally meant for.
• •This only happens if some jobs from the Human Relations Agency are moved to these other agencies.

Imagine the Human Relations Agency had money to help people with housing problems, but they didn’t spend all of it. Now, the Health and Welfare Agency is taking over that job.

The Health and Welfare Agency can use the leftover money to keep helping people with housing, but they can’t use it for something else, like building parks.
