§ 12466 Monthly Treasury Fund Reporting

• •Every month, the Controller must tell the Department of Finance how much money is in each fund.
• •The Controller also has to say how much money is waiting to be paid out but hasn't been paid yet.
• •This report must happen on the first workday of the month.

Imagine you have a piggy bank with different sections for saving money, like one for toys, one for snacks, and one for games.

Every month, on the first day you're not in school, you have to tell your parents exactly how much money is in each section of your piggy bank. You also have to tell them if you wrote any IOUs to your friends but haven't given them the money yet, even if you have enough in your piggy bank.
