§ 12440 State Treasury Payment Warrants

The Controller shall draw warrants on the Treasurer for the payment of money directed by law to be paid out of the State Treasury; but a warrant shall not be drawn unless authorized by law, and unless, except for refunds authorized by Section 13144, unexhausted specific appropriations provided by law are available to meet it. (Amended by Stats. 1983, Ch. 323, Sec. 42. Effective July 1, 1983.)
