§ 11550 State Executive Salaries

Key Takeaways

  • •This law sets the yearly salary for 12 important state jobs in California at $91,054 starting in 1988.
  • •If other state workers get a raise, these 12 jobs get a similar raise, but their raise won’t be bigger than what other workers get.
  • •The raises happen in the same year as other state workers’ raises.

Example

If all state workers get a 3% raise in 2024, the Director of Finance’s salary will also go up by 3%.

The law says these 12 jobs must get the same raise as other state workers, but not more. So if other workers get 3%, these jobs get 3% too.
