§ 10824 Plumas County Game Refuge

This law draws a line on the map to show where Game Refuge 1H is in Plumas County, using the railroad and a couple of roads as borders.

Key Takeaways

  • •The refuge is defined by specific landmarks: Quincy Junction on the Western Pacific Railway, the Old Road to Taylorsville, County Road 207, and the railway tracks to Keddie.
  • •Anything inside those borders is a protected wildlife area where hunting is not allowed.
  • •The description became official on January 1, 2024.

Example

A hunter wants to set up a stand near the old road to Taylorsville and start shooting deer.

Because the area inside the line the law describes is a Game Refuge, the hunter cannot hunt there; they would be breaking the law if they did.
