§ 53362 Nursery Stock Inspection Access

• •Officers can go onto any public or private property to check plants and trees covered by this law.
• •They do this to make sure the plants follow the rules set by this law.
• •This rule has been around since 1967.

A police officer walks into a garden store to look at the plants for sale.

The officer is allowed to do this to check if the plants are healthy and follow the rules. If the plants are sick or break the rules, the officer can take action.
