§ 5346 Plant Quarantine Compliance

Key Takeaways

  • •You can't hide plants or things under quarantine from inspectors.
  • •If you bring outdoor stuff (like patio furniture) into California from places with gypsy moths, it must be checked first.
  • •You need a paper saying your stuff was inspected and is moth-free.

Example

You move to California from a state with gypsy moths and bring your old outdoor grill.

You must show a certificate proving the grill was checked for moth eggs. If you don’t, you’re breaking the law.
