§ 52976 Cotton Disposal Court Order

Key Takeaways

  • •If you don't follow the court's order about your cotton or cotton plants, the court will make someone else sell or get rid of it.
  • •If they sell your cotton, they will take out the cost of selling it and give you the rest of the money.
  • •The court decides how and when this happens.

Example

A farmer is told by the court to fix a problem with his cotton plants, but he doesn't do it in time.

The court will then order someone, like the sheriff, to sell or throw away the cotton plants. If they sell the plants, they will take out the cost of the sale and give the farmer any money left over.
