§ 52974 Noncompliant Cotton Seizure Authority

Any seed cotton, cotton plant, or cottonseed that does not comply with this chapter is a public nuisance and is subject to seizure on complaint of the secretary or commissioner to a court of competent jurisdiction in the area in which the seed cotton, cotton plant, or cottonseed is located. (Amended by Stats. 1995, Ch. 136, Sec. 30. Effective January 1, 1996. Conditionally inoperative on January 1, 2014, as prescribed in Section 52991.)
