§ 35943 Homogenized Market Cream Standards

Key Takeaways

  • •Homogenized cream is treated so the fat doesn't separate after 48 hours.
  • •It must still meet all other rules for regular cream.

Example

You buy a carton of cream for your coffee.

If the cream is labeled 'homogenized,' it won't split into layers in your fridge after two days. It must still be safe and clean like regular cream.
