§ 34562 Branded Dairy Equipment Transfer

Key Takeaways

  • •If you buy dairy equipment (like milk containers) with a registered brand, you need to tell the department about it.
  • •You don’t have to register the brand again if the original owner gave you permission to use it.
  • •Once you buy it with permission, you get the same rights as the person who sold it to you.

Example

You buy a used milk tank from a dairy farm that has a special brand name on it.

If the farm owner gives you a paper saying you can use their brand, you must tell the department. After that, you don’t have to register the brand again, and you can use it just like the farm did.
