§ 29128 Bee Disease Hold Release

• •If bees get sick with a bad disease, the inspector can lift the hold order if it's safe for other bees in the state.
• •If it's still not safe after the disease is gone, the owner must destroy or move the bees, hives, and equipment out of the state within 72 hours.
• •The owner has to pay for destroying or moving the bees and their stuff.

A beekeeper's hives get infected with a disease that can spread to other bees.

After the disease is gone, if the inspector thinks it's still risky for other bees, the beekeeper must either destroy the hives or move them out of the state within 72 hours. The beekeeper has to pay for this.
