§ 29127 Bee Disease Abatement Rules

• •If bees get a bad disease called American foulbrood, the owner must fix the problem.
• •The law says how to get rid of the disease to keep other bees safe.
• •The rules for fixing the problem are in another part of the law (Article 14).

A beekeeper finds some of their bees are sick with American foulbrood.

The beekeeper must follow the rules in Article 14 to clean up the sick bees so the disease doesn’t spread to other hives.
