§ 24122 Animal Inspection Certificate Requirements

Key Takeaways

  • •An inspector must check animals and fill out a paper with details like where, when, and how many animals were checked.
  • •The paper must describe each animal: what it looks like, how old it is, and any special marks like scars or tattoos.
  • •If the animal is being moved somewhere, the paper must say who is sending it, where it’s going, and how long the trip will take.
  • •The paper is only good for moving the animal during the time the inspector writes down.

Example

A farmer wants to send his cow to another farm in a different town.

An inspector comes to check the cow. They write down what the cow looks like, like its color and any scars. They also write down where the cow is going, who is sending it, and how long the trip will take. The farmer can only move the cow during the time the inspector says is okay on the paper.
