§ 24123 Inspector Certificate Requirements

Key Takeaways

  • •Inspectors must check things themselves, not just sign papers.
  • •They can only do the check when it's light outside, between sunrise and sunset.
  • •If they don't follow this rule, it's against the law.

Example

An inspector signs a paper saying a playground is safe without actually going to look at it.

This is breaking the law because the inspector didn't check the playground themselves during the day.
